Think Bigger. About Who You Are. And What You Offer the World. Stand for something before someone stands on you. Revolt against the play-it-safe, don't disturb the peace, cynical and silenced society that, more often than not, buries big thoughts. Michael Port, bestselling author and creator of ThinkBigRevolution.com, knows it's not always easy to think big. But big thinking must happen now; today, tomorrow, and forevermore. At this very moment, you are the change you want to see in the world--should you choose to accept personal responsibility. Devour every word of The Think Big Manifesto. It is the handbook to your personal revolution. You are more than you know. And you can do more with less than you think... Unhook from the guru track Learn how to be comfortable with discomfort Join people doing powerful things Be one of the big thinkers that others rave about This book, and life, is not a conceptual, theoretical experiment in how to do big things. No, this is just what you need if you're on, or want to be on, the path to doing big things and are willing to invest in your future. Join or incite a worldwide revolution that inspires others to follow. All it takes is one big thought and the revolution is unleashed. One thought, one person at a time, quickly followed by another--soon big thinking becomes the norm. Your big thoughts enable you to achieve greatness, be remarkable, and create a better world. Are you a member of the Think Big Revolution? If so, this is your Manifesto.
If you don't like this book, you didn't try. The message is very simple. It's not something you may not already know, but it's definately something that you should know deep down inside. The problem for me was I just hadn't been recognizing that and thus wasn't living the way I should have. This book woke me up and has inspired me. Sure Think Big seems clear, but applying the simple concept isn't always easy. The author is absolutely right when he says, "I do not think big every day. I can't. It's unlikely anyone could live by this manifesto every moment. But, I try." That's what The Think Big Manifesto does for me. I don't have to try harder... I just have to try *better*. Some people might be able to make big changes over night... Lucky them. For me though, the message to Think Big dripped into my heart slowly but surely. I starting to feel the results - how I show up every day at work, when I'm traveling, interacting with my family... and as I progress; maybe even how I affect the world... well someday maybe. If you want a "Think Big" hammer or magic wand, don't bother buying the book. But, if you want a better way of living for yourself and how you view everything around you then get this book. If you are like me you will add it to your must read (again and again) list. Every time I open up the pages of The Think Big Manifesto I'm inspired to do what I should and must. Heck, its why I wrote this review. So yeah, it is working and I am starting to *think bigger* about who I am in the world.
BIG Blast of Ideas and Inspiration

The Think Big Manifesto is a book I'll keep handy for when I'm feeling stuck and/or thinking small. It is an excellent distillation of the key principles and action plans of much of my favorite success literature presented in a fun, easy-to-read way with inspirational examples (i.e. about BIG thinkers like John Wood) and empowering ideas. I rarely read a book twice, but I've already gone back to this book for encouraging shots of inspiration and insight and it's something I foresee putting into regular rotation on my reading list. So far, this is my favorite book of 2009 and one I'll recommend to others.

How would you like to feel inspired, motivated and have a pool of collaborators at your fingertips? That's what "Think Big Manifesto" created for me, an environment where I can do the work, but not alone. I'm thinking of starting a revolution of my own and now I know how to do it.
Big Thinking Empowers!

The Think Big Manifesto, the latest work by Michael Port, is a very unique work for him. Previously Port was very much a systems person. He identified a problem then presented a systematized solution. The Think Big Manifesto takes a more mature and empowering approach. This book helps the reader, well... think bigger. Rather than presenting problems and solutions, Port engages the reader in thought provoking dialogue. He then continues that dialogue in a way that empowers the reader to find their own solutions. The subtitle of the book very accurately describes its power: "Think you can't change your life (and the world)? Think again." There is a biblical reference that indicates if you give a person a fish, you've given them a meal. If you teach them to fish, you empower them to sustain many meals in the future. The Think Big Manifesto empowers readers to look at any situation and then develop their own solutions using the process of big thinking, sustaining big thoughts and big solutions forever. The Think Big Manifesto is a very quick read; two or three hours at most. For those of you that prefer systematized solutions, think of The Think Big Manifesto as a big thinking system; a big thinking fitness program of sorts. Read it once and you learn some basics to thinking big. Read it again and you start to understand the fundamentals of a big thinking fitness routine. Read it more times (and use the material) and you begin developing big thinking muscles. The more you use your big thinking muscles, the more big thinking muscles you develop. I suggest beginning your big thinking workout routine immediately. What do you have to lose... besides the debilitating disease of small thinking?
Think You're Already Thinking Big? Think Again.

I read this book as a favor to a friend. I did it to be courteous. Frankly, I was going to speed-read the book just so I honestly could say that I had read it. I am a busy guy, and I had a lot of other books that were higher on my "need to read" list. I rapidly skimmed the first 5 pages or so. Then I stopped. I went back and starting reading slowly. You see, I had that delightful experience that doesn't happen to me very often... I had run across a book that delighted me by wildly exceeding my expectations. I read a lot of "self-help" and "business philosophy" books (it's part of what I do for a living, let's leave it at that), and most of them are tripe. This book is different. Very different. While I was reading The Think Big Manifesto, I was, by turns, challenged, provoked, charmed and even once or twice annoyed. And I found myself thinking BIGGER about myself and what I bring to the world by the time I reached the last page. And not one time did Mr. Port use any of the normal "motivational speaker" tricks, nor did he trot out any over-used cliches like "your attitude determines your altitude". As I said, this book is different. A fresh view on what it means to "think bigger" (and no, this is NOT a "get rick quick" book... FAR FROM IT.) This is NOT one of those ephemeral "little books" that come and go like a fad; yes, you CAN read it in a couple of hours. But it will stick with you much longer. And if you're like me, you'll find yourself reading it a second time, with a pen and notebook at your side. Highest recommendation!
