This is the story of Sir Alfred Merhan, the man who has been stuck at Charles de Gaulle for over 16 years. His story was the inspiriation behind the movie The Terminal. It is a easy to read account of his life leading up to arriving at the airport, as well as the various accounts of him trying to leave and obtain citizenship in various locations. For anyone who has spent any time in an airport, this book will make you apprecaiate your departures. Ironically, I picked this book up in an airport bookstore and finished it on a plane.
