Originally published in 1986, this long out-of-print book has been frequently requested by Pike fans. It is the story of five young thrill-seekers who take a stolen spaceship out for a joy ride and blast beyond the Tachyon Web--the iron boundary that barred mankind from the worlds beyond. There they find danger, excitement and heartstopping adventure. And, on a strange alien world, one of them also finds love.
This book was one of the best book I have ever read. A gripping tale of fantasy, romance, and sci-fi. If you like any of his other novels this one will keep you glued to your seat.
best yet

I have never read a Christopher Pike that I was not either completely satisfied with, or that I realized just wasn't my type (I've only read one of those). This is another great one. It is different, but it pulls at you just like all of his other ones. Amazing book, and I recommend it to anyone.
It's a terrific book!

This book is really very imaginative and I just loved it. Don't go to the library, just buy it! I just love reading it again and again. This is the best Christopher Pike book I've read so far. I don't mind reading it a thousand times. I really feel that this book should have a sequel. It is such an awesome book.
