A very helpful resource for stroke recovery!

Stroke is not something you plan for, so if it occurs to you or someone in your family you need all the information you can get. This book does a great job of covering the basics and does so in a very clear, understandable way. The quotes from other stroke survivors is also very encouraging.

Most helpful in a time of crises

This book was very helpful when my mother had a serious stroke. We were so worried and had so many questions. Medical staff is often busy and can't always answer all questions...and they are reluctant to say too much sometimes..since all patients are different. But this book gave us a good basic understanding of how the brain is affected by stroke and how recovery works. I highly recommend it.
