This book is about Phonics. Although the first chapter is not written for children, it is very helpful in explaining how to de-code the mystery words. This book should be used by person's who may be assisting anyone with reading instruction. The book includes work pages (with answers given in the back of the book) and easy to understand text. This book is an excellent resource for teachers and also for parents who may be supplimenting the school's reading program. The book would be invaluable for parents who home-school.
