Move over The Outlaw..This is now my FAVORITE Jordan book

What is it about this book. I thought The Outlaw by Jordan was my favorite - WRONG - The Savage is now my absolute favorite. I read this book three times!! The characters were just so lovable! Lance is just amazing. Jordan did an excellent job in evolving the relationship between the two characters. I just love how Lance doesn't let Summer work her femine whiles on him _ kind of reminds me of a Scarlett O'Hara character. I am at a loss for words. I just don't want to give anything away. If you like stories like this you HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! I read all the reviews and was pleased about them - the one about how Lance being weak and blah blah blah- I can see how you would feel that way - But if you try and imagine all the things he went through as a child- It's hard to forget about where you come from and I know it gets a little repetitive about his race and being Comanche - but I think it's only to remind you how different the two Characters are and how hard it is for Lance to feel accepted in the white world. When his own white mother never was. Just a great story and not to mention the hot sex - best sex i've ever read! ;)
GREAT BOOK!!

Lance a half breed falls in love with Summer a beautiful 'white' woman. For reasons you will read in the prologue, he is ousted from the ranch in which he works and she lives. He returns years later only after her summons to help her find her sister who has been captured by Indians..(I am not giving anything away here as it is part of the synopsis in back of the book). His demand for payment for his aid is marriage to the beautiful Summer. I enjoyed the book immensely but did not like how he continuously considered himself 'unworthy'. Nevertheless, you can't help but fall in love with this man who only wants to be accepted. This is the third Nicole Jordan book and my most favorite. You will not regret reading this book... if you can find it. I paid more than double the list price for this book (auctions) and I didn't regret it.
Unforgettable.

I have to admit that despite reading this book more that four years ago, the story is still vividly entrenched in my mind. The novel truly depicted that struggles and obstacles of an interracial relationship, reflecting the prejudice and ostracism characteristic of that period. I don't confess to being a historical expert in that field, but racial discrimination against Native Americans were indeed rather prevalent then. Lance's vulnerabilities, insecurities and his profound desire for love and acceptance in a hostile society tugged at my heart-strings. His wounds and pain made him a more realistically conceived character. Furthermore, his wariness display his fear of being hurt again. That's probably the his reason for concealing his love for the heroine, even though he fell in love with her when he was a mere boy because she was one of the few people who never mocked him. Yet his actions speak volumes about his feelings for her. In short, Lance was the epitome of the modern-day SNAG - a truly wonderful and masculine character. To top it up, Nicole Jordan writes love scenes that never fail to set the temperature soaring!
The most capivating novel I have read.
