The Perfect Recipe

The Rutherford Cipher has the perfect blend of Southern charm, history, adventure, suspense and intrigue. The plot possesses a sheer magnetism that embraced me and held me in it's clutches til the very end. I have to admit that I didn't want the tale to end. I enjoyed the complex relationships of the charaters in the tale. I live in a nearby hamlet of Walkersville and can testify that this book is both credible and conveivable. Enjoy!

Pure entertainment

An author once told me a great fiction should provide an entertaining alternative to other outlets such as TV, etc - this book did just that...it was a very exciting story written very well. It had the elements of suspense, mystery, murder and it kept me wanting more.

The Ultimate Suspense Novel

Again, Dr. Rawlings has written an outstanding novel. The historical information in the book makes it believable, and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you want a novel you can't put down, this is the one for you. I highly recommend it.

It's a page turner!

Don't start it in the evening unless you plan to stay awake all nite. Glimpses of Southern life intertwined with a good ole murder mystery and ending sooner than you would like!

This book truly captivated me from beginning to end. I read it in one sitting, with infrequent breaks. William Rawlings has turned out a first-rate novel, with just the right amount of romance and intrigue!
