An honest report about the history of Alcatraz

This book was an extremely factual and detailed report of what happened on Alcatraz from when it went from a mountain to island to when it became a park. Pierre Odier goes into great descriptions about the escape attempts, the wardens, the prisoners, everything. An excellent book for researchers and enthusiasts. Also included are many photographs and drawings of the island and its inhabitants. A needed source for any writings on Alcatraz!
