Important life lessons

Any story that conveys the message that family is more important than any material thing, is well supported by us :). One example of such a story is in the book, "The Richest Poor Kid," by Carl Sommer. In this book, a boy named Randy is unhappy because everything he has is old. After making a wish that everything he touches turns to gold, he realizes that life is nothing without the love of his family. He discovers that he is luckier to have his family rather than any material things money could buy. MyParenTime.com highly recommends this book -- the illustrations are descriptive and meaningful, and the story is an important reminder for children and adults -- money can't buy happiness. Children should be happy with who they are, and thankful for what they have. Great book for learning to appreciate the most importnat things in life, such as family.
