not his best in the series

I have read all of the nina and eddie series and read them in order. I can't really explain why but for me this one was slower and I found myself putting the book down and not reading it for days at a time. The other books, especially the earlier ones, I couldn't put down. I don't know if it was the constant chatter about "the baby" or maybe I think it was that there was less Eddie in the early chapters. The evil guy also wasn't like the others. Yes, he was insane and out to destroy the world but somehow I found him not as involved like the others and I couldn't understand why Eddie has difficulty in getting rid of him and the henchmen. It could be that by now I fully expect the small red head archeologist to do what navy seals cannot and Eddie of course survives crashes and explosions that should kill the strongest of humans. How many ways can you kill a bad guy with a helicopter when you get yo your 11th book? I will still read the next book, if there is one, and I am not discouraging others from reading the series at all. I just recommend you go back and read them in order if you haven't already. P.S. I do miss Mac and Macy.
