He soon discovers disturbing undercurrents beneath the placid surface of the British community in Rangoon. Nothing is quite what it seems to be and it quickly becomes clear that it is not just the members of the Rangoon Players who pretend to be something they are not...

This isn't a cozy mystery, but it doesn't contain explicit sex or graphic violence. It's a mystery where the hero has to use his brain and, if he has inner demons, he isn't going to talk about them. A historical murder mystery for lovers of the traditional, classic crime fiction of Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers as well as an exciting evocation of 1920s Rangoon.
