The pure truth

A commissioner and his assistant are assigned to solve a murder case in which nothing seems to add up.
The victim is unlikely.
The method of the murder is senseless and atrocious.
The backdrop to the intricate story is a city in which Evil has been rooted for millennia and manifests itself with the arrogance of Power, which fears nothing, because it knows that nothing and no one, least of all the law and justice, can stop it.

Not being a native English speaker, it is likely (even probable ) that I have made some mistakes in the translation from Italian (and I fear, more than one ).
I hope that the English-speaking reader will be lenient, appreciating the effort made and the (at least in the intentions) pleasantness of the plot and the development of the characters, events and references.
In this sense, I have tried to be as attentive as possible to the taste of readers with occasional cultural, literary and historical references, without ever exaggerating, but with the intent of intriguing the reader and perhaps motivating him to further reading of various kinds.

The royalties of the novel will be donated to the Italian ONLUS "Citt della Speranza" (literally translatable as "the city of hope"), which deals with financing pediatric research, including oncology, always looking for funds for this fundamental field of study and development of medical knowledge.
