Alexis, Keisha, and Tara are three women who have all been touched by Damon. Each woman has a separate past with him but by the end of THE PRICE OF FOREVER by Joel McIver all of them will be connected in a way they never imagined. Keisha and Damon met while they were in college. What started as a friendship blossomed into a loving relationship that produced their daughter Ebony. One night changed their relationship and although they are no longer dating, the friendship they created manages to last. Damon remains a shoulder for Keisha to lean on but she must learn how to believe in and depend on herself because she doesn't know if she will always be able to count on him. Tara and Damon meet at a coffee shop. Damon is the man of her dreams even though she claims she is deeply in love with her fiancé Gabe. When Gabe and Tara have a misunderstanding resulting in him breaking up with her and kicking her out, she runs to Damon to save her. The two never hook up but years later Damon still has Tara's heart. Unfortunately for her, Damon has moved on to Alexis. Alexis and Damon have been dating for years when he proposes to her. She gladly accepts his proposal and looks forward to being his wife and stepmother to his daughter. She knows he is the man she desires, but issues arise that make her question if she can really marry Damon after all. THE PRICE OF FOREVER is a touching story that addresses multiple issues. From the first page McIver had my complete attention. The opening scene sends the reader down one path but by the end of the novel they will be sent in another direction. McIver's development of the characters and the overall story speak to his skills as an author. His use of subplots add to the suspense of the novel and the twists and turns will pull on the reader's emotions drawing them deeper into the novel. He uses each woman's story, weaving them together to teach lessons. THE PRICE OF FOREVER is a definite page turner that left me wanting more from Joel McIver. Surprise Endings!

This is an adult review I was in a hurry to add my appreciation for this book.Mr. McIver's work will appear frequently in the future. The characters, writing style, and surprise ending made this work a very entertaining read.

Great Book

This is a great book, I loved the way it was written and it captivated my attention with the 1st page. I was so into the book that I read it within a few days. I hope he comes out with another book soon.
