Truly Powerful Suggestions for Improving Learning

This book provides a solid graphic organizer for creating "SMART" goals (page 18) with indicators and measures and targets. It shows how goals and indicators can be used by students as well as teachers. It describes with examples how balanced (formative + summative) assessment can be used to promote achievement of important learning goals. It is a valuable resource for schools in which the educators and teams are pursuing W. Edward Deming's quality management in classrooms.
