Regarding the review accusing Balldacci of including a lot of "filler'

What might seem to be "filler" to some readers is, to other readers, background and explanation that enhances the story and the reading experience. Personally, I have not noticed Baldacci using "filler."

Inside North Korea & Other Scary Places

A great look behind-the-scenes of what life is probably like in No. Korea. Very chilling. Mr. Baldacci's writing style is consistent with other books of his & definitely holds your attention. The first few chapters seem to be "all over the place" but you will soon discover how they are all woven together to make this a very good read.

What about the books that will help you make the most of these precious years, not just the years that come after?
