I'm really enjoying this book -- it's practical, educational, and easy to understand. It's so slim you can read it in one sitting, but it's full of useful information. The beginning is dedicated to explaining a bit about aromatherapy during pregnancy. Most importantly, it lists the oils not to use during this time, as a number of oils may be harmful to the baby. The book then lists the different ways to use oils (steam, bath, etc. -- you can skip over this if, like me, you've been practicing for some time). Then there are recipes for all the great stuff that happens during pregnancy -- morning sickness, nausea, backache, swelling, etc. There's also a recipe for preventing stretch marks. The author swears that no woman she's ever used the blend on has ever gotten stretch marks. Now, I'm a skeptic at heart, but I'm also vain, so I've been using it. I've found the backache and varicose veins/swelling recipes to be incredibly helpful. There are also recipes to use during labor, which I plan to use when the time comes. I've actually been very disappointed with the lack of pregnancy/aromatherapy books out on the market (I've only found this one and one other that's proven to be pretty disappointing). This kit brings two nice candles and CD (that I haven't heard so can't comment on). This book, though, is proving to be indespensible.
