This book is for inspiration, not how to

I've found this book to be great for inspiration for our outdoor room. If you are looking for a how to book, keep looking. This book compiles great photos with conceptual writing, creating (for me) a great foundation for jumping off into ideas for where I want to go with our yard. Is all of it practical? No. But most things I draw inspiration from usually are not in the scope of unlimited budgets and yard size. I find this book a great, "use what you can" work.

Pretty pictures, but disappointing.

If you're looking for ideas for your own outdoor room, this probably isn't a good book for you. It's a lovely looking book and has a few really nice things, but like many books of this kind, it doesn't actually have that many ideas to offer.
