A Touching Story about Love and Loss

While most parents sometimes struggle with the demands of new kids, it's so much harder when the kid is different because it doesn't just affect the kid's future. I found the story and characters interesting amid a very difficult situation. A wonderful novel.
Touching

Raising a child isn't easy, and when that child has special needs, the road gets a whole lot rougher. But rougher still is losing that child and finding some way to put the pieces back together. In The Only Life There Is, Maria Hooley, in her indomitable way, tells the story of a couple who have to do just that, and in the telling makes us feel what it is to lose but, in that loss, to find the courage of the heart. Poignant and telling--a beautiful novel.
