Jessica was raised in a small town in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas, where she was taught right from wrong at the heavy hand of her grandfather and by the members of the church where she attended school. Jessica was plagued by inner turmoil and self doubt. There was a part of Jessica that was so wrong and she had buried it so deep inside, that Jessica herself could no longer see it.
When she moves to the big city, Jessica meets Mia. Mia is strong, confident, and unashamed, everything Jessica is not, and Jessica is drawn to Mia like a moth to flame. Can Mia draw out what's buried inside Jessica and teach her that different doesn't mean broken?
This is a story of inner turmoil, self discovery, and acceptance. While this is a love story, it is NOT a romance novel.
