New Success Rules for Women was a great read (even if you aren't climbing to the top of anything). Great anecdotes and examples from the lives of very interesting, successful people (who happen to all be women!). Full of tips and lessons for women in any field--buy it for a friend.

Important messages

I loved the book. Susan Abram's advice is insightful and important, and her messages are very positive...absolutely inspirational! The power pointers and chapter summaries are terrific tools for busy women to carry supportive reminders with them through busy days.

You don't have to wear a skirt to enjoy this book

Susan Abrams' book is a fast paced, straight shooting guide for anyone who wants to get ahead in business. I enjoyed reading the success stories of many well-known business women. If I had to choose only one book on business for my four daughters and two sons, this would be it!

I found this book to be extremely easy reading, while offering solid advice for success that is ACHIEVABLE. This is not a get rich quick gimmick, but rather, the book offers straightforward strategies for becoming a more effective manager. I enjoyed hearing the ups and downs from women at the top, knowing they got where they are from effort and not sheer luck. I would highly recommend it for women starting their careers, and veterans who want to pick up a few good ideas.
