Last summer, the girls in my family began a paint and sip night to keep from going out during the pandemic, and of course, picking the project always falls to me since I'm the hobby artist among us. But I'm totally new to acrylics as I prefer colored pencils and watercolor. I bought this book in hoping to find some unusual paintings that might be pleasing to everyone. Well, it talks about tools, additives and other mediums for half the book. Finally, on page 88, it gets to techniques (some very beginner techniques that I've already mastered inside of 3 paint nights and some crafty ones I'll never try). Bottom line, no real paintings at all. What a disappointment! I regret the purchase.
