The Moonstones was a young romance book about a young girl named Jane. Her grandmother passed away and her and her mother are to clean out the house. This is where the trouble begins. It first starts when her spoiled cousin Ricki and her aunt. They both refuse to work leaving Jane and her mother Amy to do all the work. At night is when the biggest problem starts. Jane and her cousin start sneaking out of the house to go to a sleazy amusement park. Upon arrival, Jane sees someone she saw in town, Carey, and immediatly falls in love. But will her mother's past come back to haunt Jane? Will Jane's betrayal of her mother result in something horrible? My suggestion is to red the book. You'll really like it.

this is a wonderful book, but at the same time you want to rip it apart. Jane goes with her mother to clear out her grandmother's house, and along comes Aunt Norma and her pitiful daughter, Ricki. neither of them ever bother to help and are always tormenting Jane and her mother. Carey, a boy jane meets at an amusement park, is the only good thing that happens. jane always worries about going to see him, because her mother told her not to go to the amuesment park. this book is great, but i almost cried at the end because it was so sad. it is a good book though, filled with intrigue and family secrets. i give it four stars because of the ending.
Good Book but the end was a bit of a dissapointment

I really enjoyed reading this book. Throughout the book I was able to identify with most of the characters' feelings. I enjoyed reading about the short summer romance. The ending was a bit sad but it was, at leaste, fairly true to life. Though, I would have enjoyed a happier ending, myself. Overall, a good book!
Wounderful book.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. You get hooked on it almost instantly. I think there is only one problem. I loved the ending, but it seemed to open, and not fully resolved. But, besides that, this is the greatest!
