Draco Waring, the Earl of Woodley, has easily avoided London's odious Marriage Mart and the interminable crop of peahens who flutter around him everywhere he goes. A murder has taken place on his property during a ball he was hosting, and now Lady Imogen Stockwell, the young lady he knows he should not have kissed - but who could resist the delicious girl - is now on the hunt for the murderer. The problem is, how is he to protect her when she believes he is a pirate involved in shady dealings and he is unable to deny it?
