Of all the many different types of aquaria, probably the most interesting and beautiful-and certainly the one that seems to command the most attention from casual viewers and dedicated aquarists... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a fantastic book that gives a low-tech approach to creating a reef aquarium that includes set-up information, how to choose an appropriate species mix, and how to maintain the tank. It also has really gorgeous photography. Although it isn't long, it's very inclusive.I am a freshwater hobbyist who is thinking about setting up a small reef tank. Published in 1994, about the only thing this book does not cover is up-to-date protein skimmers. However, it gives a great description of how to build your own skimmer, which back in 1993 when it was written was probably the best way to get one!I am very impressed with this book. I have read several books in preparation for investing in a reef tank, and this is by far the best I've seen.
