Pharaoh Ramses II hasn't seen his long-lost cousin Moses in nearly forty years. Yet while pressed by the Hittites to the North and construction delays in the South, Ramses must make time for this... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Truly an exceptional and creative perspective on this age old story. The graphics and narrative provide a unique exploration. I look forward to more work from Lewis and his team.

Okay, I'm a bit biased because I went to high school with Marv Mann, the artist...but the story was intriguing, and kept my interest. The artwork is amazing...Marv has always been able to convey complex emotion through his drawings, and he's made the thoughtful, intelligent plot come alive. While this isn't the sort of book that I normally read, I'm glad to have made the exception.
A very entertaining read

I have read the first black and white edition of this book published by Caption Box. I was originally drawn to the book because of the artwork. It has a very unique look that reminds me of both, "The Prince of Egypt" from DreamWorks and the 70's underground books. Even though the cast of characters is large, each one is easily indentifiable (not only by the artwork, David Lewis was able to give each one an individual "voice" that made the characters real individuals). This re-telling of the story of Moses is very fresh and I feel that because David Lewis was able to make every character a very real individual (with their own motivations) he was able to breathe life into a familiar story.
