The Limits of Glory was the first book I read on the Napoleonic wars, and it hooked me. It reads as if one who didn't know much about the Military Doctrine of the time were transported to a position where he could observe the actions surrounding the Battle. I have recommended it to several friends as a great introduction to this facinating event.
