King David was a good-hearted young man who loved God with all his heart. He became a great leader both spiritually and militarily. He possessed the boldness and heart of a lion, yet he, like me, forgot who he was and where he came from and foolishly made terrible decisions that had lasting repercussions. These dreadful mistakes cost him his kingdom and his personal relationship with God. I, too, was such a man raised in a great home by two wonderful parents. I was surrounded in the church by devoted spiritual leaders. I accepted Christ into my heart at a dear young age but soon fell away from God into a life of drugs, alcohol, and rebellion. However, like King David, I returned with the Lord's leading and know that I will finish well.
