How can Josh Mitchell be falling in love with a woman he just met if she died years before? And how can he clear himself of murder if she's the only witness? Josh Mitchell lives an enviable life in... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This author sure does have a wild imagination, although I am sure there are strange things going on all the time in law enforcement and the corporate world. How could Josh get in all the trouble he does and just when you think that he's done for, he rises to the cause and goes on another escapade in his search for the truth is beyond me. It was a great story and it held my attention to the very end. I am usually pretty good about figuring out "who done it" by the first hundred pages but I could not do that with this novel. I even snuck a couple of peeks at the end to no avail. I recommend not only this book but his first novel "Fatal Gift" and I'm anxiously awaiting his next novel!
Tension-filled, truly edge of your seat reading!

Michael Frase has a unique talent for developing gut-wrenching characters. A reader can either love them or hate them, but you definitely can't ignore them. They literally grab ahold and pull you into the situations of their lives! How stupid can the character actually be, how gullible, how smart, how plain old lucky by simply stumbling along on their own? You can't put the book down till you know! In The Last Goodbye, as in Michael's other novel, Fatal Gift, I found myself tensed up waiting to see just what was going to happen to these people next. I can honestly say The Last Goodbye kept me on the edge of my seat. As a matter of fact, I hated to finish both of Michael's novels. That's my standard of judging a book, whether I'm so thankful it's over, or if I am sorry to finish reading it. Michael Frase passes "my standard" with xxxxxtra high flying colors!!!
Can't-Put-It-Down Supense That Starts Fast & Does Not Let Up

On the heels of "Fatal Gift", Michael's second novel confirmed my prediction that he is an Author I will continue to follow. Once again he grabs your interest from the very beginning and holds you by the seat of your pants until the very suspenseful and climatic end. In both of his novel's he proves his ability to stay steps ahead of you. Just when you think you have Josh's fate established... you don't. It's this type of writing style I treasure finding in an Author. After lucking up and purchasing "Fatal Gift" last year I could hardly wait until his next release and I emphatically say "IT WAS Well WORTH THE WAIT!!" Now another whole year to wait.... Michael, if you read this..WRITE FASTER.

I started reading "The Last Goodbye" and couldn't stop. This is definitely the best book I've read in a long time. H. Michael Frase has become one of my favorite authors. I recommend this book to everyone. " The Last Goodbye" is the kind of books that movies are made from.

I was on a flight to Chicago when I read started reading The Last Goodbye and didn't realize that we had landed in Chicago until a flight attendant told me that everyone was off except for me. I read his first book and couldn't put it down but after reading The Last Goodbye I feel Like H. Michael Frase is now in my head. I will never forget chapter 7. NEVER After that I raced to the end.
