Really enjoyed this fast, fast ride!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I always enjoy legal procedural thrillers like those of Turow and Grisham, and Hirsch's debut puts him in their league. Like Will Connelly in Chapter One, you barely have your first swallow of coffee before you are slung headfirst into the action and the action - and the hairpin turns - never stop. A great take-to-the-beach read!

Even the cherry on the top!

I really enjoyed this book. Even though I am a little bleary eyed from staying up to finish it, I wouldn't have had to cut a word. I found myself arguing with the main character constantly through the book. I warned him "don't do that!" But he wouldn't listen. He did what he wanted to do and I was carried effortlessly through all the twist of this story. I have read that Reece Hirsch has been compared to John Grisham but that cannot be. He has his own unique style and plenty of polish. I could easily read another book with his main character, Will Connelly. Now I am hungry for more! There was even a cherry on the top of this ice cream sundae of a book! You have wait until the very end but it is worth it and I am not going to spoil it for you!

Loved It

Hirsch had me up late into the night compulsively reading. A great yarn with twists that don't stop, THE INSIDER kept me guessing all the way through - never correctly! As the story approached it's climax I never knew from where the next surprise would come. A fine read that I heartily recommend.

A great summer suspense novel!

If you are a fan of the lawyer style suspense novel similar to those from John Grisham, then you will certainly enjoy "The Insider." From the onset it is one of those books that grabs you from the start and you can't wait to see how it will unfold. Dealing with the issues of privacy and access to confidential information in the days of the internet, the author weaves into his story a real life concern that is in the news almost everyday. An exicting story from start to finish with a central character that you can really root for. I look forward to Mr. Hirsch's next novel.

Fantastic Debut

Hirsch's debut is everything a great thriller should be. THE INSIDER is a nonstop thrill ride that you won't be able to put down. Looking forward to more from this tremendous new talent.
