I found this cookbook in my College bookstore in 1971 and I still reach for it several times a year 31 years later.

The most Basic of Basic Cookbooks

I bought this book in 1967, when I graduated from college and was going to go out into the world and live on my own. 33 years later I am still using it. It should be reprinted and should be an absolute must have for everybody.

Cooking For Beginners

The I Never Cooked Before Cookbook

I've had this book in my cupboard for 35 years! Even tho I don't cook much any more, I use this book at least once a month. It's terrific for the basics. Bachelors and bachelorettes would love it for things from how to boil an egg to how to boil a lobster! Please bring it back into print!

Indispensible!

This is a wonderful little cookbook, for both complete beginners as well as the more proficient. It assumes you know NOTHING, and proceeds to explain all those mysterious cooking terms. Almost every recipe involves ingredients you've actually heard of! I love giving this cookbook as a gift to new brides or anyone starting out on their own.
