The third tale in The Human Drama, Part Two: The High Priestess, follows the ephemeral visionary experience of a pregnant young lady that could in fact be a phantom, a figment of the imagination, or a real human being. Whatever she is, she exists for those that can see her, one of whom is a middle age frustrated writer named Clarice Veloso. Clarice visits the Hollywood Forever cemetery on a regular basis to attend to the memory of a her departed daughter Alice. During her visit to her daughter's ashes in the urn at the cemetery, Clarice encounters the young pregnant Faith Stone, a ghost, a phantom, or perhaps a living human being. Faith communicates to her in ways unlike anyone she's ever met, opening up emotional, psychological, and creative pathways inside Clarice's mind, breaking down her 15 years of writers block, ever since the death of her daughter. Clarice is able to convince Faith to go home with her, for Faith makes it clear the main obsession she has is addiction to drugs, and her visions are highly connected to mind altering substances. Clarice's husband so happens to be a drug dealer to the wealthy of Los Angeles, thus convincing Faith to go home with her. There she introduces Faith not only to her husband, but to the many friends and curious strangers that come to visit Clarice's home in the Pacific Palisades, hoping to experience the same spiritual revolution which Clarice and others have. Faith becomes somewhat of an attraction, not exactly a tourist attraction, but an attraction for the rich and powerful of the city. That is, until disaster strikes ...
