Great Introduction to Jewish Mysticism and Kabbalah!

This book was one of the first books that Edward Hoffman wrote on the Kabbalah. He has written a number of others since then, but I have always had a soft spot for this one. I teach introductory classes on Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), and have always recommended this book to my students because of its clear, non-technical, and warm explanations of the Kabbalah's Jewish origins, history, spiritual practices, and how modern people can learn from this ancient wisdom. Dr. Hoffman has a sound background in Jewish scholarship, so I am confident that both Jews and non-Jews will get an accurate picture of Jewish mysticism from his work.
