A poetic and beautifully illustrated dream tale for toddlers
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
I have read this story to my toddler literally hundreds of times in the past nine months, and neither of us are anywhere close to getting tired of it. In roughly 100 words, and with the help of 20 richly beautiful illustrations, Sayles shares with us a young boy's dream in which he pilots his toy boat out the window and through the air, encounters raccoons, crickets, and owls in the nearby woods during the night, and pilots his boat back home just ahead of the morning sun. The rhyme scheme and poetic structure of the story add to the delight of reading it.
