Thirteen-year-old Jon and his eleven-year-old sister, Tania, are typical kids--except Tania can communicate with ghosts. Their parents also happen to be the producers of a ghost-hunter television show--and have no idea one of their own kids can see ghosts. In The Ghost on the Stairs, the brother-sister duo join forces to help reunite a newlywed couple from beyond the grave. In The Riverboat Phantom, Jon and Tania try to help the ghost of a steamboat worker find peace at last--and find more than they bargained for on the river
I LOVED this book. My daughter who is 11 could not put this book down. She read it so quickly and is asking for more! I highly recommend this book for girls and boys (and adults) who like mysteries. You should definately read this book! Happy Reading!

I just finished "The Ghost on the Stairs" and loved it. The book had the perfect blend of suspense and character believability. Such a pleasure to read a "ghost story" without blood and gore! Delightful, likable characters with a well-paced story line - a satisfying read that made me go pick up the next in the series.
Start of a promising series

From beginning to end, this book held my interest. The characters are believable (well, not sure I believe in the ghosts), and the descriptions are vivid. The 13-year-old boy's crush on the "older" 20-something woman was an entertaining side story to the ghost story. While very scary in places, the book was not gory or gruesome.

I just finished reading 'The Ghost on the Stairs'. I loved it. I wanted to find out what was going to happen to the sister and her ghost sighting along with how her brother would help her, because he couldn't see or hear the ghosts. I'm anxious to read 'The Riverboat Phantom' now along with the rest of the series that are coming out. I think young readers would really like to read this book and will keep them riveted, along with any age group.
Charming & Creepy

I really enjoyed this- the young, skeptical protagonists get dragged from place to place as their mother and stepfather film a Ghost Hunters-esque type show, and no one is more surprised than they when the younger sister sees a real ghost! By turns touching, and with genuinely creepy moments, this is a wonderful addition to ghost lore fiction and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
