I enjoy everything I've ever read written by Marion Chesney. I don't care for smut, won't read it and Ms. Chesney's books allow me to enjoy the use of my own imagination while taking me on these jaunts.
Entertaining

I've lost count of how many times I've read this book. I laugh every time I read it. I can feel the heroine's frustration with her seemingly lazy husband and I can feel his annoyance with his wife's pride. They are funny together and despite their odd beginning and the circumstances surrounding their marriage, perfect for each other. Very entertaining.

She Was On Her Way To Marry A Man She Had Never Set Eyes On! It was true. The lovely young widow, Lady Chateris (Delphine to her friends), had agreed to abide by her parents' wishes and marry the Comte Saint Pierre. Her parents had long since died in the French terror, but when she learned of their desires she thought she owed it to them to respect their wishes. She decided it would be a marriage in name only. But when Delphine saw Jules Saint Pierre she got the shock of her life. He was the same man she had seen juggling in the streets at a local fair. What was he doing as the Comte Saint Pierre? Had she made some terrible mistake?
