I don't quite understand the mediocre reviews I read elsewhere. . . did we read the same book? I will concede that the protagonist, Paige, is extremely unlikable in the beginning. It was definitely hard to feel any empathy, or sympathy for her because of her attitude. However, Kearns and Farrell were the same as in Wounded Prey. I found this book to be action packed and hard to put down. Great job Sean Lynch. I am hoping for some more thrillers from your pen. I notice that Wounded Prey and The Fourth Motive were written back in 2014, and Hold Back the night was written in 2021.
