When Steve and Don find the old Greyhound bus in the junkyard, they have no idea that it would lead them on a frenzied cross country excursion to Jay Leno's house, and be the target of an EPA chase from coast to coast. The two old friends restore a vintage bus and convert it to an RV. They live in it at the beach of an eastern resort town until the Mayor evicts them calling the bus an eyesore. They are forced to leave before all work is complete, the engine smokes profusely and the bathroom sink sprays you in the face. The EPA is alerted because of all of the smoke and gives chase but the Boys manage to lead them on a merry pursuit staying just ahead of them by luck and intervention from individuals they befriend along the way. They are finally captured at their intended destination, the Mecca of vintage cars, Jay Leno's Garage. Jay manages to get them out of their predicament getting the EPA off their back. Jay test drives the bus for his TV show and becomes enamored by it and persuades the Boys to take a sailboat in trade. They end up on Santa Monica beach planning a trip to the Caribbean.
