A beautifully written and beautifully illustrated book about the gratitude of people who survived brutal incarceration in the Nazi concentration/death camp of Mauthausen to their "liberators" -- the American soldiers who discovered and opened up the camp, allowing their inital release from the horrors, plus medical attention and more. Perfect for children from age 10 or so, and still interesting for adults as well. Very touching!

Good book on the spirit of the human race, and that USA was a great hope of saving those whom others had ignored. Great citizens of the world looking to America for help, knowing USA would come to the rescue at all costs. Amazing strength and knowledge these prisoners had, we are blessed that all were not killed, but survived to tell this tale. Thank you!
