Such an amazing book.

I’ll be honest I was lost the first half of this book. The author doesn’t hold your hand for the world building and you are kept somewhat disoriented on purpose. When the book does click, it’s amazing. I can’t express enough how good this book is.

Quite possibly the best book you’ll ever read.

Jemisin is such a great storyteller. I bought this back in January and it was sitting on the shelf for 3 months before I picked it up. I can’t believe I didn’t read it sooner. This is a book you will not want to put down. She pulls you in from the very beginning. I recommended this book to everyone I know. Get this book!! You won’t regret it.

This is hands down the best book I have read in years. The authors has created characters who I have fallen in love with. This was a stunning read and has imprinted itself on me greatly.

Fifth Season is a masterpiece

This book is both sci-fi/fantasy as well as social justice poetry, all within a story arch that is nonlinear and breathtaking. It assumes what is human, while proving we can never take for granted that others share such beliefs.
