A What Can Be Done, Not a How To Do It

It should come as no surprise to anyone these days that computers are capable of producing pretty powerful graphics images. The majority of the art you see in ads is computer generated. Mr. Raimes is a noted designer that has been using a computer as his took for many years. This book is a study in what can be done using computer techniques. This is a produsely illustrated guide to what some of the best computer artists have done. It is not a text on how to do it. It does give a brief introduction to the equipment you will need (His comment: 'The ultimate machine for the serious graphic artise, the Power Mac G5.') as well as a brief discussion on software. Mostly he talks about the concepts of what you can do. He talks of pixels and vectors, of letters and photos. In the final chapters he talks of getting your images in front of people using the Internet and getting your images displayed in galleries. A great idea book for the artist, either fine or commercial.
