Richard Dresselhaus has written a Biblically based, concise, and practical guide for deacons serving Assemblies of God congregations. Those with dissimilar church governmental structures may not find the book as helpful. The book is designed as a 6-week study for pastors and deacon boards. Suggested group discussion and problem solving questions are provided. The pastor who guides his deacons through a study of "The Deacon and His Ministry" can help set the groundwork for a fruitful and enjoyable relationship with his board.
