wonderful, just perfect

the "dandy" of the title is the gentleman who stops a girl from killing herself, because of an arranged marriage. he then helps her run away and finds her a safe place to stay, with his sister. however, the criminal who wanted her finds her out, and the hero saves her from being raped just in time. then he marries her and fights that man in a fatal duel. only then does he tell her he has loved her all along. wonderful!!

I'm a great fan of barbara cartland and I'm happy to say this book continues the romantic 18th Century tradition barbara cartland has steered virtually singlehanded. A heroine in distress, swordfight and love- what more could you ask for?
