I found this book just by chance in a used book shop in Kelowna (B.C., Canada). I found Ted's outlook and observations very interesting. When I started reading it, I thought it is meant to be a funny narative of Ted's adventure on his bike across North America. But there is more to it. I find Ted's perspective on the cookie-cutter lifestyles and values of most of us living in this continent very thought-provoking. I must say that I disagree with the previous two reviews below.
Very humourous and enjoyable read!

Ted manages to make the reader feel as though they are on the ride with him. An excellent read from start to finish. My only complaint was that I read it too quick! Can't wait for the next adventure.
A hilarious light read with a feel good message

A friend of mine picked up this book for a plane ride from Toronto to Vancouver. She said she laughed the whole way through the book promting the people sitting around her on the plane to ask her what she was reading. It was The Cycling Adventures of Coconut Head. She passed the book along to me and I agree it's a laugh-out-loud, hilarious story of an amateur cyclist's adventures in North America. Tedd Schredd is one great story teller with a unique and positive outlook on life. The desciptions of the counrtyside, citys and characters Tedd meets along the way are too funny for words. It's a feel-good story with a positive message about meeting goals. I would totally recommend this book.

Ted Schredd's book, The Cycling Adventures of Coconut Head is hard to put down and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! This book also restored my faith in people, that if you need help or are facing adversity they will come through for you. It will make you laugh and cry as you feel the burn with Ted and Deanna as they trek across our continent and share their stories. A must read for anyone who loves biking!
Inspirational!

Ted's prose may not be polished, and his doodling tends towardthe "stick-figure" variety, but his imaginative narrativegets to the heart of what it means to live your life as an adventure. I credit Ted for saving me from the horrors of a mundane life
