Die hard country decorator

This is one of my collections that I always read. Amazing details & clear pictures. If you like country decorating or cottagey settings, this one is for you.

The many styles of country decorating

This book is very organized in that each chapter deals with a particular style of country decorating (i.e. French, Shaker). Ms. Plante gives a sample color palette for each decorating style and lists furnishings and decorative elements commonly found within those styles. Some of the suggestions for decorating were a little repetitive from chapter to chapter which made for somewhat monotonous reading. The book also addresses each room and its elements - which is a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the book and its lovely photography.
