First hand experience with author

I had the privilege working with the author while we were both stationed in Iraq. His knowledge of the language were very impressive, especially with the locals. I can't wait to use what I have learned from this book and cd on my travels. A definite buy!!

An excellant primer for a difficult language

I have found this book and CD to be a very excellant starter for someone who has only dealt with romance languages. Habel does a great job of taking a difficult language system and making it intelligible. I expect to spend many more hours with this book.

Great book

I've been interested in learning more about Arabic for several years now. This was a great book to help me start learning the basics. If you're interested in starting to learn, I highly recommend this book.
