Mrs. Braun's books are something unexpected

The first time I read one of Mrs Braun's books with Koko and Yum Yum (to say nothing of the newsmand and owner, Qwilleran) I was in Florida, workin as Disney Cast Member. I have always been fond of animals, but these books made me feel very fond of siamese cats, and something that was very unusual, was the ability of this lady writer to "paint" vivid the character of a man written by a woman. All along during the reading of the first novel I thought the writer was a man. Only when I closed the cover I found out to be a lady. She is now one of my favourite writers.
