September can get pretty hot on the ranch, and as the head of security, Hank the Cowdogas being extra vigilant to ensure safety for all. But when a huge prairie fire looms on the horizon in the middle of the night, Hank finds himself in a sticky situation, trapped in a henhouse after another dirty trick from Pete the barn cat. Can Hank warn the family in time, save the ranch, and possibly get revenge on his feline enemy? Not without a lot of bumbling, stumbling, and grumblingaand Hankas goofy, crowdpleasing sense of humor.
This book is great, But not perfect. This book is not as funny as the first 50. I mean how many times can you send drover to the corner in the machine shed and it funny? Other than that this is a great book. And hank still got it to pull of a great book.

I bought this for my daughter who is almost 22. We grew up together on the Hank series. It was as much fun for me as it was for her. The audio tapes are superb as well! John Erickson is a hero in our family. All his books are a hoot - with some great messages to boot!
