Superb Resource

This new anthology is extremely valuable in its inclusion of not only the canonized texts from the period but other, more difficult to obtain, texts. Among the 41 full texts are expected plays by Dryden, Lillo, Behn, Sheridan, etc., but also historically important works such as Boyle's THE HISTORY OF HENRY THE FIFTH,plays by female authors including Pix, Trotter, Centlivre, and Cowley, and secondary texts by major authors incoluding Gay's POLLY, Dryden's AMPHITRYON, and Behn's THE LUCKY CHANCE. Valuable organizational charts and introductions add to the usefulness. It is a joy to have all of these works in one volume.
