Immesurable

When I was young, about 8-9 I got the big book of help it was instantly a favorite of mine. It opened me up to talk to my mother about things. Helped me feel secure about my developing body and helped me be understanding of myself and others. Although I don't have a daughter of my own. I've bought this book for my 9 year old niece in hopes that she finds it just as helpful

Be a hero to your girl!

My 8 Year Old LOVES this Book!

My 8 year old daughter loves this book. When we first got it, she took it everywhere. Sometimes we read it together, and have even "looked up" problems (getting along with a sibling) and the book gives good advice. I like the way the book encourages her to come up with mutually agreeable solutions rather than insisting on having things her own way.

I bought this book for my 8 yr old daughter. We are both reading it together and we really enjoy it. It has real situations were kids may wonder what to do.It helps the kids think it out before acting. It is just wonderful to have. You must see it to believe it.

Excellent book for blooming tweens

I bought this book for my nine-year-old daughter who completely wore out "The Care and Keeping of Me". She loved this book as well. I have been very pleased with the American Girl books. I have purchased several for gifts and every recipient has been thrilled with them. This book addresses all those tricky questions that girls are either too afraid to ask or just can't put their feelings into words. Buy this book - your girls will love it

The Big Book of Help really is helpful

I bought this book for my 10 year old granddaughter, but before I gave it to her I read it, and my 37 year old daughter read it as well. We both feel that the help in this book can pertain to all ages. It addresses all the basic problems that might come up in life and how to deal with them. I recommend The Big Book of Help for all ages.
