If you enjoy yachts and the sea you'll enjoy this slick, 192-page, hardcover book of text and color illustrations pertaining to sailing. Fifty editions of Nautical Quarterly were published before business ceased in 1990. This "best of" book contains material from some of those editions. Nautical Quarterly never had a circulation of more than 20,000, and because distribution stopped nearly 20 years ago most readers will not have seen it. Therefore you have a treat in store for you when you buy the book. I expected a good product when I ordered it but it went beyond my expectations. The marine art in BONQ is among the best. If you are a yachter you will like the book. If you aren't, this book will cause you to want to be.

I mourn the demise of Nautical Quarterly; a lovely collection of articles on power and sail boats, history and design and use. This "best of" could only be improved upon by a follow up volume dedicated to power boats (this volume is about sail).
